Four intertwined stories trace how people, memories, and seagrass move through a changing coastal landscape.

Seagrass Flow is a feature documentary centered on local stories and the movement of people. Rather than treating the coast as a fixed backdrop, the film follows how identities, livelihoods, and attachments to place are formed through leaving, returning, remembering, and working.

Across four intertwined stories, seagrass appears as habitat, building material, scientific object, and carrier of memory. The film stays close to everyday speech and gestures, allowing environmental change to emerge through personal histories rather than explanatory distance.

The documentary was created in collaboration with filmmaker Liu Xiaohui as part of a longer research practice on the environmental histories and local cultures of seagrass ecosystems.
